Statistics in Berlin area (German federal state of Berlin, approx. 3 million habitants) for the first crisis year 2008: From the individuals in jail in Berlin-Plötzensee: (more precisely, mostly these persons were unable to pay for public transport, or were unable to pay the penalty).

During the same time, the public prosecutor for this Berlin area (the Oberstaatsanwalt D.) told the press that no complainte against politicians (members of government or members of parliament) for political decisions ever terminated with a condamnation. The public banks in Germany which lost approximately 50 billion Euros (in German terms: "50 Milliarden" Euros), these banks were and are mainly managed and supervised by politicians.
Did German citizens know and want that these banks took part in worldwide financial casino gaming? Did the regulative framework of these banks authorize significant participation in worldwide financial casino gambling?
Did this framework authorize tax-avoidance schemes by using tax-exempted offshore companies?
